KOWA Party, the alternative grassroots political party in Nigeria has constituted her Board of Trustees (BOT). This took place at the party’s special convention which took place in Abuja on February 13, 2010. The event was attended by delegates from various states of the federation, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other independent observers. The distinguished members of the Board of Trustees are Dr Salihu Abubakar, Mr. Fola Adeola, Dr. Babatunde Ahonsi, Mr. Akindele Akintoye and Mr. Muhtar Bakare.

Others are Mrs. Ngozi Iwere, Ms Olutoyosi Kolawole, Mr. Nurudeen Lemu and Mr. Lawal Maidoki.
The Board has as part of its responsibilities to review all proposals by the Executive Committees and also to review National Executive Committee (NEC) proposals prior to presentation at the national convention. Other tasks include raising funds for achieving party objectives, screening candidates for election into party and public offices and appraising, reviewing and reporting on the performance of the party against stated objectives.
According to the party’s constitution, none of the members of the BOT can run for political office within the party or any local, State or national election except the member resigns his/her position as a member of Board of Trustees.
